Update: NYPD released a photo of the suspect accused of attacking Rick Moranis.

Veteran actor Rick Moranis was reportedly attacked by an unknown assailant in New York City, mere blocks from the building that became famous for being used in the Ghostbusters film.

Moranis, who was born in Canada but lives in New York City, was in the Upper West Side when he was randomly punched in the head.

NYPD surveillance footage captured an image of Moranis’ attacker, a man wearing a “I [heart] NY” hoodie.

According to the New York Post, the unprovoked attack took place on Thursday morning.

Suffering pain in his head, back and hip, the 67-year-old staple of 1980s films was taken to the hospital for evaluation before reporting the attack to police.

The suspect remains at large.

Moranis is known for his films, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” “Spaceballs,” “Ghostbusters,” “Ghostbusters II,” and others.

The actor, who avoids the limelight when he can, is also an accomplished singer.
