MTV’s Video Music Awards are scheduled to happen in the Big Apple next week, and all the celebrities who plan on going are magically exempt from the Empire State’s 14-day mandatory quarantine.
The event will be held outdoors and will have little to no audiences, but celebrities will still be attending in person.
According to Fox News, law enforcement -who are currently being denounced by celebs on an unprecedented level- will ensure all attending are wearing masks and social distancing.
“The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and Citywide Events is working in close coordination with the production to ensure guidelines are being followed,” a City Hall spokesperson stated.
While artists can “participate in the production of the show,” they can “ only interact with other members of the cast and crew and will quarantine when not working.”
Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus are expected to be there, while Roddy Rich and J Balvin will not be attending as previously anticipated.
Balvin, now in his mid thirties, is currently recovering from coronavirus.
