An assisted living center employee in Alabama is in hot water after poking a recently deceased resident on film.
The facility in question is The Brennity, an Assisted Living Center in the town of Daphne.
The employee filmed herself poking the body, as well as lifting the deceased’s eyelids and smiling for the camera.
Sagora Senior Living, which owns the facility, told FOX10 News that action was taken in a timely manner.
“First and foremost, we find the actions in this video to be completely unacceptable, inappropriate and not in line with our Resident First philosophy that we strictly uphold at our communities,” the firm stated. “We can confirm that this associate is no longer with Sagora Senior Living as we will not tolerate behavior like this.”
The video has made its rounds on the internet, sparking outrage among netizens.
The Daphne Police Department confirmed that it has taken a report detailing the incident.
