A British sports commentator and former jockey was sexually harassed during a race by a young woman who appears to have been under the influence at the time.
The incident, which took place at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Saturday, involved former jockey-turned Sky Sports reporter Mick Fitzgerald, who at the time was live on television and discussing the racing conditions.
During his segment, a young woman walked up behind Fitzgerald, touched him, and pulled her skirt up a little, making licking gestures with her tongue.
“I think it’s going to be a long night for this one Martin, that’s for sure. We’ve got six races for you at Lingfield this evening,” Fitzgerald said while the harassment was going on.
“What everyone wants to know is what’s the ground like here because we’ve had a lot of rain,” Fitzgerald added.
Suddenly, the young woman shouted, “I’m so wet!”, applying innuendo to the weather discussion.

According to the Daily Star, Fitzgerald deescalated the situation by stepping away while the young woman giggled.
“I’m really sorry about that. I’m sure her mum will be pleased when she sees that,” he said.
Surprisingly, many people who watched the video online opted not to pine for the advances of the inebriated woman, instead defending Fitzgerald and applauding him for his professionalism.
“Oh dear – her family will be proud. Well handled Mick,” one user wrote.
“What a mess,” replied another.
Lingfield Park Racecourse is located in Surrey, United Kingdom.
