An Arkansas waitress running the check for a customer made a bizarre discovery- the credit card he used to pay was one that had recently been stolen from her.
Flora Lunsford of Pine Bluff was working her server shift Wednesday when 21-year-old Shamon West handed her a credit card to pay for the meal.
According to Fox News, Lunsford quickly notified law enforcement, who arrived and took West into custody. Searching the suspect, they discovered he also had the waitresses’ Social Security Card, driver’s license and other credit cards.
Lunsford’s car was previously broken into last Saturday, two blocks from her place of business.
According to Fox News, police were a bit confused how West thought he could pay for a meal using the woman’s credit card, considering he knew what she looked like.
“As a side note, the driver’s license, as all do, had her picture on it,” law enforcement officials said. “Therefore, you would think he should have known what she looked like. Yet, he still handed her own credit card to her.”
West was charged with forgery, theft by receiving, and three additional outstanding warrants, earning him a trip to the Jefferson County Jail.
