A Scottish teacher’s OnlyFans account ended her teaching career after her students were able to find it on the internet.
Kirsty Buchan, 33, of Coatbridge, resigned from her job at Bannerman High School earlier this week due to the backlash coming from students learning she was operating an adult entertainment business on the side.
Despite the scandal, Buchan defended her choices.
“Some people are saying I must be mad to go from being a physics teacher to selling nude photos online,” she told local reporters. “But it has become very clear to me that I was insane to stick at that job for six years under the strain that I was facing every day.”
For Buchan, the pornography industry seems far less stressful than the task of educating the next generation.
“I was staying up to 1 a.m. doing extra unpaid work and the stress was unbelievable. I was crying my eyes out at my situation and I didn’t know which way to turn,” the teacher added.
According to the New York Post, Buchan was lured into the porn industry after she learned other educators were making five figures and more on OF.
“I have bills to pay and a mortgage and it wasn’t even a difficult decision. Glasgow City Council has come out and said they were going to discipline me but they were never going to get the satisfaction of that,” she said.
“Some people are being so judgmental but I am on an 18+ site and if the kids get access to the content then that is down to the parents failing to protect their devices,” she said. “Who are others to judge? It’s my story to tell. I will do anything to provide for my son. How many parents can say they can do that?”
Her boyfriend is reportedly okay with other men getting pleasure from her content.
“I’ve had people saying it’s my body and my decision what I do with it. And that’s the bottom line. I’m not ashamed of my body and I discussed all this with my boyfriend before I made the decision to open the account on OnlyFans,” she said.
