A Surfside police officer is being criticized for his handling of pulling over supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who broke down and began crying in fear after being pursued by paparazzi.
According to Fox News, Bündchen was driving erratically and speeding trying to get away from a paparazzo. Bündchen told and pointed the man in question out to the officer who responded there was nothing he could do to help her.
Bündchen began crying and said, “Yeah, but he’s, like, stalking me.”
When the officer told her to file charges in Miami Beach because that’s when the pursuit began, Bündchen broke down further. “Everywhere I go I have these f—ing guys after me. Nothing protects me. I can’t do nothing. I just want to live my life.”
The mayor of Surfside has come out and criticized the officer’s handling of the traffic stop and said he there was more the officer could have done and failed in his role.
Bündchen has lived in South Florida since 2020 when she and her two children moved there with her then-husband Tom Brady. The two divorced in 2022 and she has continued to live in the area.
The officer did not write Bündchen a ticket and she even thanked him after the stop.
