A bizarre video has surfaced online, showing a shocking encounter in a public bathroom.
The video depicts a man sending his young daughter into a public women’s bathroom, filming her as he follows her in.
“Make sure nobody’s in here,” the dad said before calling out.
As the girl turns around the tiled corner of the interior of the bathroom, they encounter a man who walks to the hand dryer, as if he had washed his hands.
The man smiled as he walked out, headphones over his ear.
“You know this is a women’s bathroom, right?” the dad said.
“Ah,” the man replied with a foreign accent as he walked off. “I’m sorry.”
“This is why you always have to check inside the bathroom before your kid goes in,” the posted video was captioned.
Posted on Wednesday, the video has over 290,000 likes and has been shared 48,700 times.
Many people in the comments noted that they never heard water running, despite the man moving to dry his hands.
“No water running,” one user wrote. “Stuck his hands in the dryer for 2 seconds. The dude was just waiting in there for a woman to walk in.”
Others pointed out that the father was also committing a crime by filming in the women’s restroom.
“And the guy with the phone wanted to record women he’s legit committing a crime,” one user speculated.
It is not known where the encounter occurred and other posts of the the video trace back at least a year.
