A TikTok video showing a single mother crying as she baked a birthday cake for herself went viral and the person who caught the most strays in the comments has spoken up.
According to Newsweek, Elizabeth Teckenbrock says she was emotional on her birthday as it was the first one without any family members around. Teckenbrock, who was married, says she had spent the previous three birthdays with her extended family.
Along with the cake, she made cupcakes for her children.
There were supportive comments for Teckenbrock and asked why her children weren’t there.
Enter her ex-husband.
The ex-husband showed the custody papers, which detail he has full custody of the kids, she owes more than $21,000 in child custody, and has to take other steps before she can have any joint custody.
He went on to expose Teckenbrock as a check fraudster and identity thief as she was convicted of stealing $1 million from another person. Teckenbrok has also used a fake cancer scam to solicit donations that she then used to spend on things for herself.
Teckenbrok says she runs an abused women’s charity, though after the ex-husband’s comments that may be another scam.
