An actress known for her breakthrough role in “Uncut Gems” reportedly shares a mice-infested, filthy New York City apartment with her little boy- and she shared this fact with the entire world on social media.
Julia Fox, who is 32 years of age and was born in Italy, showed the world how she lives behind the silver screen, giving the public an open-house walkthrough of her apartment on TikTok.
Fox, who has a net worth of $1 million, claims she dislikes “wealth” and that people who use their fame to buy more comforting accommodations are “icky.”
“They make me feel icky,” Fox said in the video, which has millions of views. “Especially people that have really big houses. It’s just really wasteful when there are just so many homeless people in this country. I just, I’m not really like that.”
Meanwhile, Fox flaunts living in a rodent-infested home with her son, who is only a toddler.
Despite rodents being a major health concern, Fox dismisses the issue, saying she lets them run wild.
“It’s a problem depending how you look at it. I kind of let them rock,” Fox said. “I appreciate that at night while they’re sleeping, they clean up the crumbs that my son drops on the floor. So yeah, I’m not going to evict the mice anytime soon.”
Next to the door, a mountain of shoeboxes can be seen, something Fox claims is “normal” for New Yorkers.
“[This] is very common for New Yorkers,” she said.
While the squalid apartment has attracted lots of attention from her TikTok fans (who seemingly take no issue with this arrangement), the comments on a New York Post article were critical of not only Fox’s parenting skills (or lack thereof), but the absolute state of her life.
“This is a 32 year old woman, who talks with the voice of a 12 year old – and whose message is also one of a 12-year old,” one user wrote. “Who lives in a mess (example: unmade bed, clutter), which also has absolutely no structure. If she had an entire house, one can only wonder what that would look like. And 3.3 million people clicked on this?”
“Mice droppings around small children are an issue,” netizen Kate chimed in. “Those things are running around in the night on top of everything he touches, puts in his mouth and sleeps in. Being a slob is not cool even if she says it is. There’s a reason they close restaurants that are infested but she’s too dense to understand that.”
@juliafox Come with me on a very underwhelming apartment tour! also to clarify I have only ONE mouse and he’s cute 🥰
