An adult actress recounts how she was scolded by her parents when she entered the industry, with the aforementioned family members telling her she would get AIDS.
Kali Roses, an adult performer, appeared on “Holly Randall Unfiltered,” one of many podcasts that seems to focus on adult themes.
During her time on the show, Roses said that her parents were less than enthusiastic about her entering an industry wherein she fornicates for her fortune.
Originally starting on the webcamming circuit, Roses had a hard time explaining to her parents what she did.
“I got into [the topic of] webcamming with my family and they were already like –they didn’t know anything about it– ‘you’re going get AIDS, you’re going to die!’” she explained.
Despite webcamming being little more than an interactive virtual stripper with extra steps, Roses was defensive of her new career choice.
“And I’m like, ‘I’m f***ing myself – so first of all get your facts right.”
According to the Daily Star, Roses formerly worked in a “camgirl house,” which was run by two guys that had their employees live on-site.
The aspiring adult actress would often work 12-hour shifts at a time, with her two employers often fueling her with Adderall.
Eventually, a leaked video of her having sex resulted in her gaining more traction to get out of the cam house and onto professional pornography sets.
However, looking back, she does describe the situation she was once in as less than ideal.
It is unknown if Roses and her parents ever made amends on the topic of her career choice.
