A woman who caused a disturbance last week on Houston-bound flight that had to be diverted to Mobile was wearing only a t-shirt and underwear when she got off the plane, authorities said, according to a report published Monday.
Sierra Nicole McClinton, 25, of Universal City Texas, was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication after the United Express flight was diverted to Mobile, according to Fox News and Fox 10 in Mobile.
The Mobile Airport Authority Police Department could not be reached by AL.com to confirm the reports.
McClinton allegedly got into an altercation with another passenger on the flight. A flight attendant tried to calm McClinton down, but she ultimately had to be restrained by the attendant and a passenger until the plane landed in Mobile.
Once the flight landed, McClinton was only wearing a t-shirt and underwear and she appeared drunk and was shouting obscenities.
The flight continued to Houston without incident and without McClinton on board.
CommutAir, the airline that ran the United Express flight, sent this statement to Fox News:
“CommutAir flight 4332, operating as United Express from Jacksonville to Houston, diverted to Mobile when a passenger became disruptive. The aircraft landed safely in Mobile where law enforcement officials met the aircraft at the gate. The flight continued on to Houston shortly after.”
