A man was arrested in Las Vegas, Nev. after climbing onto the wing of an Alaskan Airlines plane.
CNN Travel reports that Alejandro Carlson, 41, was observed by McCarran International Airport staff hopping a fence on Saturday afternoon. He then boarded a flight intended for Portland, although not in the way airline travelers are supposed to board aircraft.

According to ABC News, Carlson was on the wing for approximately 45 minutes before he fell off onto the tarmac. He was then apprehended by officers who had entered the scene.
In the captured video, Carlson can be seen moving about the plane’s wing, at one point attempting to climb up its tip. He even removes his shoes before making a crash landing himself.
The incident left many a passenger on the Alaskan Airlines plane baffled. One woman, Erin Evans, recorded the incident and posted the resulting video on social media. She stated that many on the plane watching the incident unfold wondered not only if Carlson’s actions were an attempted act of terrorism, but how he was able to mount the plane’s wing in the first place.
“It was definitely one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” she told ABC News.
USA Today states that Carlson was treated for minor injuries at the University Medical Center. He was then taken to Clark County Jail where he was booked for trespassing and disregard for public safety.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
