Two twins playing for the NCAA are currently getting a brand partnership, making them the first in their league to do so.
Competing with the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) rules, Hanna and Haley Cavinder are on track to be the highest-paid college athletes.
The duo, who have a large social media following, signed with Everett Sports Marketing, a company that will help project them to new heights.
“We grew up playing every sport, but Hanna and I wanted to try everything,” Haley said, “but I think we kind of just stuck with basketball. It’s something my mom and dad played both growing up.”
The duo are the daughters of a Division II basketball player for Nova Southeastern in Florida.
The Haley an Hanna have 3.5 million followers on TikTok, and depend on their older sister, Brooke, to keep them focused on the game.
“[Our] main [focus] is basketball and education,” Hanna explained. “So just having a team behind you and not having to worry about every little thing. And obviously having people that you can trust.”
According to Distractify, the twins still love the attention they get from their online presence.
“Hanna and I just like love YouTube and TikTok, being able to share our life online,” Haley said. “So I think when we came into college doing that two years ago, we weren’t really too worried about it being too overwhelming, just because we have been doing it for [so long].”
