Trump wins Pennsylvania bakery’s cookie poll in landslide

A local bakery which claims to have accurately predicted the results of the last three elections has announced the results of its latest cookie poll count.

Lochel’s Bakery in Hatboro, Pa., has become known for selling its red candidate and blue candidate cookies during the election season. While the official presidential election results will be called by the number of ballots gathered throughout the country, Lochel’s Bakery states it knows who the next president will be based on which cookie is purchased the most.

The cookies aren’t just sold exclusively within Pennsylvania, either. Cookies may be shipped out of state, one Staten Island man reportedly driving down to the bakery twice for the cookies.

So, who’s the next president going to be after Election Day 2020, according to Lochel’s Bakery? That would be President Donald Trump.

The Next York Post reports that as of Sunday, Lochel’s Bakery had sold a whopping 27,903 red Trump cookies, with blue Biden cookies coming in at a total of 5,114. The bakery plans to announce the absolutely final results later today.

One of the president’s own kin even dropped by to check out the candidate confectionary. According to The Patch, Eric Trump swung by Lochel’s Bakery completely unannounced to buy some cookies of his own. Kathleen Lochel, the owner of the bakery, confirmed that President Donald Trump’s son was “most respectful,” and that everyone is welcome into the bakery, no matter which political party they may support.

Lochel’s Bakery is located at 57 S. York Road in Hatboro, Pa. You can call the bakery at (215) 773-9779 or email them at lochelsbakery@aol.com
