Tom & Rita Hanks’ third son Chet is catching a lot of attention after he posted a video in which he said he had a feeling that the summer of 2021 is going to be a “white boy summer.”
Chet, who is an actor and rapper, made reference to two other white musicians – Jack Harlow and Jon B. That reference gives the indication that he is referencing a song that could be released soon.
Harlow is possibly the most well-known of the two references after being on the hit “Whats poppin” that features rap superstars DaBaby and Lil Wayne.
Chet Hanks has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, though mostly in small parts. His biggest hit was in the show ‘Empire’ where he played a white rapper named Blake. He also appeared as “the Thing” in the 2015 flop remake of the Fantastic Four.
In the video, Chet made sure his reference wasn’t anything related to “Trump or anything NASCAR like white.”
In 2019, Megan the Stallion released a song called “Hot Girl Summer” that dominated the music charts and became an summer anthem of the year. It appears Chet Hanks hopes his next song will go along those lines.
