There’s a video floating around out there of Shannon Sharpe and Tee Morant smiling and making up late Friday.
But … man, things got heated for a minute there during the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Lakers game as Sharpe went back and forth with several Grizzlies, including Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant, before exchanging words, too, with Tee, Ja’s dad, out in the crowd.
And, afterward, Sharpe seemed pretty fired up, per the quotes have gave ESPN.
“They didn’t want this smoke, Dave,” he told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “They do all that talking and jockeying and I ain’t about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘(Expletive) me.’ I said, ‘(Expletive) you back.’ He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’ And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t ant these problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”
Sharpe, who co-hosts “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless on FS1, is an NFL Hall of Famer.
Things started to unravel when he and Brooks exchanged words as the Grizzlies guard headed o the locker room.
You can see it all here:
Postgame, Brooks said that Sharpe should not have been allowed to remain in the arena. He is probably right there.
Tee Morant said he had “nothing but love and respect for Shannon Sharpe,” postgame.
So, maybe it’s all good now.
The Lakers won the game 122-121.
