Brooks Nader was seen walking out of an NYPD substation and claimed that she was being tracked by an unknown person after she found an Apple AirTag in her coat pocket.
According to the Daily Mail, the model says she believes the tracking tag was dropped into her coat pocket while she was at a bar in Tribeca.
Police say the high-tech, but cheap, device is used by stalkers and thieves to track potential victims.
She was walking home when she got an alert on her iPhone of an unknown device and that it was tracking her.
Nader says the potential stalker may have followed her all the way home, but never noticed them or know if they actually did.
She’s now warning other women to be careful and mindful of these tracking devices.
The AirTag retails for $29.99.
This also isn’t the first time AirTags have been used to track people and police have issued warnings about the small devices.
There have been cases about stalking to thieves tracking high-end cars to steal later on within the U.S.
