Two women were caught twerking in a public fountain in Spain, creating quite the controversy in a country with pretty stringent lockdown.
The duo, wearing bikinis and not sporting masks, were filmed enjoying themselves in the fountain, a major violation of social distancing standards in Spain.
The country declared a state of emergency until May 2021, and masks are required in public spaces, to include indoor locations.
According to The Sun, Juan Carlos Cabrera, a deputy governor on Seville’s city council, denounced the women for what he deemed to be irresponsible behavior.
Cabrera “called for everyone’s responsibility, especially young people, to avoid repeating acts like this so we can continue to curb the effects of the pandemic.”
Spain has even set a curfew for its citizens, which will be temporarily extended for the holidays.
