While on patrol checking the Roger Carter Community Center in Maryland, a Howard County Police Department officer who doesn’t want to be identified, showed up a teenager with an “AND1 Mixtape”
move.
After checking the ball, the officer throws it behind the teen but pretends that he’s still dribbling the ball. Before the teen realizes that he’s been tricked, the officer lunges behind him, grabs the ball and scores.
The move was made famous by basketball street legend Philip Champion, better known as Hot Sauce from the AND 1 Mix tape tour.
The video was posted to twitter by Corey Little who captured it and said that this wasn’t the officer’s first time on the court. Corey told WJLA “I played him 1-on-1 one time. He’s a pretty solid dude.”
“I was like, ‘Man! I just want to see what’s going to happen,’ so I pulled out the phone and started recording,” and what happened was 40,000 retweets and more than 75,000 likes.
The video also racked up well over 1.5 million views on the Sports Center Facebook page.
