The actor who played Superman in “Man of Steel” is facing the possibility of being “cancelled,” all because he dated a controversial “Star Wars” star several years ago.
Henry Cavill, who previously dated fighter and actress Gina Carano, is being ostracized by the “outrage mob” on social media over his ex’s comments on censorship and cancel culture.
Carano, who was kicked off “The Mandalorian” for drawing a comparison between the attacks on Jews by the Nazis in the 20th and the attacks on people over political beliefs in the 21st century, has effectively become a target for the far-left mob- and the campaign against her has now spread to affect those who associate with her.
According to the Deseret News, Cavill and Carano dated in 2013.
“Currently judging Henry Cavill for dating Gina Carano, even though it was a decade ago,” wrote Twitter user Koohussin. “BLACK LIVES MATTER!”
Others compared the now-former couple to antagonists from another superhero show, “The Boys.”
Not everyone was pleased with the “cancel campaign,” however.
“They got Gina Carano and now feel they can go after everyone, including two of the nicest guys, Henry Cavill and Chris Pratt,” wrote user 47bloodhound.
