Orphan kangaroo finds a new home in officer’s ‘pouch’

Constable Mason from Cue Police Station thanks everyone for their input into the naming of the cute little rescue Joey….

Constable Scott Mason of the Cue Police Station in Australia was expecting to be a father to a newborn baby, but he didn’t expect to be a father of a 4-month-old Joey in the same week. The baby kangaroo was rescued by the officer after its mom was hit and killed by a truck.

The lucky Joey, now named Cuejo after seeking out suggestions from social media, has a new pouch to climb into thanks to the officer. While Constable Mason’s wife is up feeding their newborn baby, he will be doing the same for the newest member of their family, baby Cuejo.
