A pornographer in Australia has been banned from TikTok, leaving her 1.2 million fans on the Chinese social media app scratching their heads.
Anna Paul, a 21-year-old on the Gold Coast, has around 1.2 million people subscribed to follow her every choreographed and imitated move on Thursday- only to watch her entire account go up in smoke.
It appears that Paul’s X-rated “job” as an OnlyFans girl resulted in her being banned from TikTok, with the Chinese-owned company confirming that the ban is permanent due to policy guidelines violations.
Paul, who claimed her 60-second vlogs were “innocent,” felt she was being discriminated against for being a “sex worker.”
“It was a shock because I had never had a warning before, none of my videos have ever gone against community guidelines whatsoever,” she told news.com.au. “It is so weird, I don’t know what I’ve done. There’s so many other sex workers on TikTok I just post my day, I just post myself going to lunch.”
It is unknown if TikTok will go after others involved in the sex work.
For Paul, the incident resulted in loss of revenue.
“I was actually about to sign a contract with a brand to advertise some of their stuff in a TikTok,” she said. “It’s the first ad I would have done on the platform and now I lose money because I can’t do it, I had to say, ‘Hey sorry I can’t sign the contract anymore because my TikTok is gone.’
