Fairfax County police turned into animal control when they were called to a home about a report of a llama on the loose.
According to WFXR, officers used night vision video from their helicopter to give out directions to officers on the ground trying to rope the loose animal.
Officers had a difficult time trying to get the rope around the four-legged animal as it ran past them multiple times.
Finally, the officers pinned the llama against a fence and were able to get it on the ground.
The local animal shelter was then called in to pick up the llama and give it a temporary home.
According to the report, the llama had broken free from its owner’s property and is currently in the process of being returned.
