Colin Kaepernick is back on the field- at least on Madden, that is.
While the former NFL player was hardly considered a “top-notch” player in reality, Kaepernick -who traded in his career for activism- has an astonishing rating of 81 in the new Madden game, making him part of the “top twenty” category in the game.
In fact, of all the Madden 21-featured quarterbacks, Kaepernick rates the 17th.
According to Ryan Glassspiefel, Kaepernick did not have such a stellar reputation during his last NFL season, and some feel that Electronic Arts Sports (EA Sports) gave the “woke” ex-player a performance boost.
“This is pure pandering for attention on the part of EA Sports, and to a certain extent we’re giving them the attention that they want by running a post about the absurdity of it all,” he wrote.
Outkick listed the following quarterbacks as being rated lower than Kaepernick in Madden 21:
Tyrod Taylor: 69
Dwayne Haskins: 70
Gardner Minshew: 70
Drew Lock: 70
Mitchell Trubisky: 72
Daniel Jones: 72
Sam Darnold: 73
Ryan Fitzpatrick: 74
Teddy Bridgewater: 75
Joe Burrow: 76
Jared Goff: 76
Kyler Murray : 77
Josh Allen: 77
Cam Newton: 78
Derek Carr: 79
Ryan Tannehill: 80
Meanwhile, Ben Roethlisberger is tied with the ex-player.
