Fans of retired golfer Paige Spiranac are starting to take notice of female golfers copying her marketing model.
While Spiranac retired years ago, many active golfers and coaches such as Hailey Ostrom and Elise Lobb Dzingel have been upping their Instagram game.
Ostrom has been open about her career, and is glad she has broken the barrier.
“I remember when I was younger I was so embarrassed to tell people I played golf because it was the ‘dorky old person sport’”, she once said. “Now I’m so proud to say I play professional golf. Golf has come such a long way and I hope young girls are no longer embarrassed to play this amazing sport.”
On the West Coast, Californians such as Isabelle Shee and Savannah Viluabi are also enjoying the attention on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
According to the New York Post, Shee has a YouTube channel, dubbed “Shee Golfs.”
