Actor Mickey Rourke has called out Robert De Niro, referring to him as a “big f***ing crybaby.”
The two actors have had friction for decades, but the feud recently came to a head after De Niro reportedly referred to Rourke as “a liar,” claiming he “talks all kind of shit”.
Rourke, who still remembers a time in the 1980s when De Niro ignored him, wasn’t having any of it.
In a grammatically-disjointed rant, Rourke denounced De Niro on Instagram with the following message:
“Hey Robert De Niro, that’s right i am talking to you, you big f-g crybaby. A friend of mine just recently told me that a few months back you’re quoted as saying to newspapers ‘Mickey Rourke’s a liar he talks all kind of sh-t.’
Listen Mr.Tough Guy in the movies, you’re the 1st person that ever called me a liar and it was in a newspaper.
Let me tell you something, you punk ass, when I see you I swear to God on my Grandmother, on my brother and all my dogs, I gonna embarrass you severely 100%. Mickey Rourke ‘as God is my witness.’”
According to PopCulture, the feud began in 1987, when De Niro was acting alongside him in “Angel Heart.”
Rourke claims that De Niro was rather cold to him and effectively snubbed him.
“It hurt my feelings a little bit ’cause I looked up to him,” Rourke said. “I don’t look up to him no more. I look through him. He don’t forget what happened 20 years ago. Because they have a saying, ‘I took him to school’ before no other actor.”
Later, De Niro “refused” to work with Rourke for another film, though this claim has been disputed.
