A couple who decided to have a picnic at a dog park near San Diego with their 3-month-old puppy ended up getting pepper-sprayed by an irate woman for not wearing masks while eating.
Fortunately, another woman at the dog park recorded part of the incident and caught the woman (and her license plate) on camera.
According to ABC 10, Ash O’Brien and her husband sat at a picnic table with their new puppy and were having lunch when they were confronted by a woman who was angry that they were not wearing masks and that there was a ‘no eating policy’ at the dog park.
O’Brien told the station, “If we knew there was a no food policy, we wouldn’t have brought it into the park. The lady who maced him automatically started saying stuff about us not wearing a mask when we were social distancing; there was no one near us.”
The woman then reportedly walked away, but then returned and opened fire on them with her pepper spray.
The couple went to the emergency room and have filed a police report with the San Diego PD.
