A passenger at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia was caught on video throwing himself over the second-floor balcony.
According to Reese McCranie, the airports spokesperson, there was an altercation between the man and two other passengers that led up to the horrific incident.
Stephanie Brown with the Atlanta Police said that the man had been threatening passengers near the Terrapin Taphouse bar and seemed to be intoxicated. When airport security arrived to handle the situation, the man could be heard saying “shoot me” before hurling himself off the balcony.
The man was reported to have sustained serious injuries but is expected to live. The police are still investigating and no charges have been filled yet.
