Man steals small front-end loader, tries to break into ATM

AKRON, Ohio — A man stole a small Bobcat front-end loader, then used it in an attempt to break into an ATM at a bank in the Firestone Park neighborhood, police say.

The incident occurred at Citizen’s Bank on the 1100 block of East Waterloo Road at about 6:15 a.m. Friday, according to police. The ATM was damaged but police did not say if any money was taken.

The Bobcat skid-steer was stolen from a business on the 1500 block of Exeter Road, police say. It was later found abandoned on the 1300 block of Kelly Avenue.
