A man had to be handcuffed and physically forced off a flight from Cleveland to Phoenix after he started getting unruly and complained that he was, “the only Bengals fan” on the flight.
According to KETK, the man said he had too much to drink and admitted as such. His voice and physicality escalated when he and another person got into an argument over the Super Bowl. Eventually, flight attendants had to intervene and asked the man to leave. When he refused, Air Marshalls were called in to remove the man.
The flight was on its way from Cleveland to Phoenix on Wednesday night.
As he was being removed from the plan the man was yelling, “I was a Bengals fan, I was the only Bengals fan. I’m not a bad person, bro, I drank a little too much, and one guy back there had a problem that I was drinking too much.”
Eyewitnesses say that though the man was probably drunk and loud, another man put the Bengals fan in a headlock which escalated things to a point of no return.
The man was arrested after he was pulled off the plane and placed on Frontier Airlines’ ‘No Fly’ list.
Hopefully, the man’s beloved Bengals don’t suffer a similar fate where they get escorted out of the building before the game truly begins.
