A Louisiana man learned the hard way after following in the footsteps of the woman who ended up in the emergency room after spraying her hair with Gorilla Glue.
Len Martin, a 37-year-old amateur rapper, reportedly tried the “Gorilla Glue challenge” because he felt 40-year-old Tessica “Gorilla Glue Girl” Brown was “lying” and overplaying her suffering.
“I thought she was just playing around because I didn’t think it was that serious,” Martin said.
Martin claimed he had tried using adhesive before, but went along with filming his attempt anyway.
“I actually tried it out before and it actually didn’t do anything for me,” he said. “So I was like, ‘Okay, she’s lying’ and there are all these challenges going on so I was like, ‘Okay I’m going to try it’ and it went backwards.”
Needless to say, applying adhesive to his upper lip wasn’t a good call.
“I thought it could lick it off kind of to moisten it and pull it right off but that didn’t work.”
According to the New York Post, Martin ended up in the ER and endured great pain in order to remove the glue.
The Gorilla Glue company has released statements urging people not to use their glue on their skin.
