Kanye West’s soon-to-be ex-wife is being sued by her former employees, claiming the socialite was something of a slave driver who never paid on time.
Seven former members of Kim Kardashian’s $60m mansion upkeep staff have filed suit, including several former gardeners and maintenance staff.
The court papers, filed in Los Angeles yesterday, list a number of complaints, including not allowing meal breaks and never paying the workers their wages in a timely matter.
In addition, ten percent of their wages were docked for taxes, but then never actually given to the IRS.
One former employee is only sixteen years of age, and was forced to work 48 hours a week or more when school was not in session.
Another, who served as a groundskeeper, was fired on the spot when he asked about overtime and rest breaks.
Kardashian, according to the Daily Mail, is worth about $1 billion.
