Actor Jeremy Renner, who owns a home in the Lake Tahoe area, was hospitalized Sunday in “critical but stable condition” after being injured while plowing snow after the heavy storm that hit California and Nevada, according to published reports.
The Modesto-born actor, an Academy Award nominee and the star of “The Mayor of Kingstown,” “The Hurt Locker,” “The Town” and “Hawkeye,” was airlifted to a hospital and was “receiving excellent care,” a spokesperson told

It was not immediately clear whether the accident, which the spokesperson attributed to inclement weather, occurred at the property.
Several news outlets reported Sunday night that Renner was in critical but stable condition.
“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” a spokesperson for Renner told
several news outlets.
“His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
Attempts to directly reach a spokesperson for Renner were unsuccessful Sunday night.
Earlier this month, Renner tweeted lightheartedly about the intense snow near Lake Tahoe.
