Actress Jaida Benjamin, known for appearing in Netflix’s “Family Reunion,” has been reported missing by family.
The 27-year-old entertainer was last seen alive on Saturday in the Studio City area of Los Angeles near Tujunga Ave. and Ventura Blvd., according to a flyer shared by family on social media. She was last seen wearing a purple crop top, pink jogging shorts and white sneakers, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. She was also wearing her hair in locs at the time.
While her loved ones have not been able to contact her since the weekend, authorities, so far, do not suspect foul play at this time, CBS Los Angeles reported.
In an emotional Instagram post, Benjamin’s mother, JoCinda, begged for anyone with information about her daughter to come forward.
“Never thought I’d ever have to make this type of post. My baby is missing please help me find her,” she wrote. “I can’t breathe.”
In a separate post, the actress’ aunt called Benjamin a “a beautiful being” and “very talented and a well known actress.”
In addition to playing Kelly on Netflix’s “Family Reunion,” she has also appeared in shows like “The Fosters,” “Insecure” and “Criminal Minds.”
Anyone with information regarding Benjamin’s whereabouts is asked to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800, or (877) 527-3247. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
