Denver Nuggets NBA star Michael Porter Jr. may return to the team before the end of the season, but when he does his wallet may be a little lighter and he may need some diversity training.
A video is now going viral showing the NBA forward trying to prevent a tow truck driver from towing his car away after he illegally parked. The driver began recording the interaction as the two exchanged words.
Nothing got heated but you can hear Porter Jr. attempt to try to appeal to the driver’s ethnicity to prevent the tow. Porter Jr. is heard saying, “you’re supposed to look out for other brothers. You’re black, you know how it goes.” The tow driver then responds, “I’m Puerto Rican.”
No word if the car was eventually towed or not.
Porter Jr. just signed a five-year contract extension worth $145.3 million in September.
