The actress from the hit 1990s film, “Clueless,” opened up about parenting her 11-year-old son during a podcast interview on Tuesday.
Alicia Silverstone, 45, revealed she still sleeps with her son, Bear, during “The Ellen Fisher Podcast” and even joked she might “get in trouble for” revealing it.
“I don’t really care,” Silverstone said.
She revealed her “attachment parenting style” included “elimination communication” tactics which required very close supervision of her son.
“It’s so awesome. It’s so easy,” she said. “When I was done feeding him, he would go to the bathroom in the toilet. When he woke up from a nap, he went to the bathroom.
“There was a period of time where I was watching him naked and watching the cues,” she added. “The cues part for me was really fun because I thought that he was flirting with me because he would do this little smile. That’s when he had to pee.”
She claims her son’s father originally thought her parenting methods were “hippie s–t,” but eventually came around and “loved” them.
Silverstone has been vocal about her parenting style in the past, and has not shame in bathing with her son and feeding him a vegan diet.
“I’m a natural mama, and I’m a loving mama. I believe in love, I believe in nature and our society is scared of nature and love.”
