A Savannah, Georgia, Hooters waitress is hearing it in the comments after she posted a TikTok showing she made $500 in tips during a four-hour shift, but shamed people who left her only $10 or $15 for tips.
In the video, Ali says, “My second table, I got $11,” she added, rolling her eyes at the meager amount. “My third table I got $20, and then I got $10 from a really old couple. But, whatever.”
She also records her other waitresses showing what they earned after each table.
Mind you she may have been earning more if she paid more attention to her table instead of creating the video.
She then shouts out a regular who Venmo her $300 so she didn’t have to declare it and share it with her other waitresses.
The video has received more than 8 million views.
But it’s the comments that have left an impact. Namely, people calling the waitress ungrateful and money-hungry.
Ali responded back by saying she doesn’t “rely on men.” Ali says she’s a full-time student, works for an employment firm, and does social media influencing to pay for her lifestyle.
