Having been an inmate at Shelby County Division of Corrections since last September, Cody Clements was glad to have his grandmother visit him. Like most grandparents, she came bearing what she thought was a harmless gift.
68-year-old, Sarah Griffin passed her grandson a bag of Doritos while visiting him. According to FOX 13, when an officer went to confiscate the bag, Clements grabbed small object that was wrapped with electrical tape out of the bag.
Griffin claims that it was a cellphone but when officers unwrapped the object the found meth, marijuana, Xanax pills, and heroin.
Although Griffin says that she had no idea that there were drugs in the bag and that she picked up the chip bag from an unidentified girl earlier that week she is being charged with taking contraband into a penal facility.
