For years, Gisele Bundchen has begged Tom Brady to retire from the NFL.
Last month, the supermodel got her wish as Brady announced he was walking off into the sunset after 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl titles.
However the retirement was short-lived with Brady announcing Sunday he will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season.
So what does Bundchen think about her husband taking the field at age 45? She’s apparently on board, based on her comment on Instagram (via The Spun): “Here we go again! Let’s go lovvvey! Let’s go Bucs!”
Bundchen commented on Brady’s post announcing his return:
These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible.I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business. LFG
So why did Brady retire in the first place? Consider this report from 7News’ Dan Hausle: “Tom Brady Sr. tells me his son felt ‘pressured by outside forces’ to make earlier decision to walk away. Was looking forward to golf with his son but ‘excited’ he’ll play again.”
Brady, a five-time Super Bowl MVP and three-time NFL MVP, returns to a Buccaneers team which lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Playoffs, 30-27.
