The Denver Police Department has released information on Sunday surrounding four local Colorado cops who did their best to help a military veteran in crisis.
Officers Michael Green, Alexander Esparza, Nathaniel Magee and Daniel Meadows were dispatched to a report of a man in crisis on August 19 in the Denver Metro Area.
Upon arrival, they learned the man was a frustrated veteran who had reached wit’s end in regards to both the US government and the lack of assistance he needed.
Beginning a dialogue with the man, the officers eventually talked him out of self-harm and into surrendering himself.
Learning he had gone several days without food, the veteran was fed before being taken in for treatment.
According to KDVR, the veteran’s fate is unknown.
