Former New York Jets running back Zac Stacy is accused of violently attacking his ex-girlfriend in front of their baby, according to a new report from TMZ.
Stacy, 30, allegedly punched the unidentified woman in the head several times and then threw her into a television set, which falls on top of her. He also allegedly “body-slammed” her into their 5-month-old son’s bouncy seat, according to TMZ sources and court documents.
The celebrity news site published video showing the attack from a home surveillance system.
The New York Post reports she called police and fled the house afterwards, and requested a restraining order against Stacy.
“He punched me several times in the head! I begged him to stop because the baby was on the couch just a few feet from where he punched me,” she said in the restraining order application obtained by TMZ. “I fear for my life and my children’s lives.”
The woman said she was hospitalized after the attack and treated for bumps, bruises and a possible cut to her head.
Stacy is an Alabama native who played college football at Vanderbilt. He spent two seasons with the St. Louis Rams after being drafted in 2013, and played in eight NFL games with the Jets in 2015. His pro career also included stints with the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Alliance of American Football’s Memphis Express.
