OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney fatally stabbed her boyfriend while security guards standing outside their luxury condo did nothing, according to the victim’s family.
Clenney, 27, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Christian Obumseli on April 3, 2022. Obumseli’s family later sued Clenney and the condo complex over medical bills and funeral expenses.
Obumseli and Clenney’s turbulent relationship was well known inside the One Paraiso apartment complex, according to the lawsuit.
The family said that on the day of Obumseli’s murder, security guards were called to their apartment, but they stood outside and did nothing for 12 minutes, local NBC affiliate WTVJ reported.
“Just a few days before this tragedy, Courtney Clenney herself actually notified the building management company, who shared information with the security company and the owner of the actual unit, and notified them that she was recently diagnosed with a severe personality disorder,” Obumseli family attorney Kim Wald told the station.
“All they did was send a security guard to stand outside that unit when they should have gone into the unit and stopped this tragedy from occurring,” she added.
Clenney has maintained that she acted in self-defense. She told police Obumseli was abusive toward her and she fought back with a knife. Police took months to investigate the case, as Clenney was initially detained at the bloody scene in April 2022 but was not charged until August of that year.
While Clenney and Obumseli’s relationship included several breakups and reconciliations, investigators determined she was the instigator of the fatal fight. She was charged with second-degree murder.
Known as Courtney Tailor online, Clenney still has 2 million Instagram followers. However, she has not posted since four days before Obumseli’s death.
