Much of the controversy in the hit show “Tiger King” revolved around Carole Baskin and accusations that she possibly killed her ex-husband, Don Lewis.
But was actually found alive in Costa Rica alive over a year ago and the news is just now going viral.
During an interview, in November 2021, Baskin revealed that her ex is actually alive and well despite being declared legally dead in 2002.
Lewis was declared dead after he disappeared, which now appears was actually an escape from his wife.
“One of the really exciting things that came out of ‘Tiger King 2’ is that they produced a letter from Homeland Security and it says that a special agent in charge with the FBI at Homeland Security reached out to the sheriff’s detective George Fernandez, which means this had to have happened after 2002, because Homeland Security wasn’t even around until 2002,” Baskin said during the interview.
“And they said that my husband, Don Lewis, is alive and well in Costa Rica,” she added.
After the 2020 premiere of NetFlix’s “Tiger King” many believed Baskin was involved in his disappearance.
Conspiracies included that she paid someone to kill him and/or fed him to her tigers.
After the release of the show, Lewis’ family paid for a TV commercial during Baskin’s 2020 debut on “Dancing With The Stars.”
The commercial asked the public for answers and tips about his disappearance.
“Do you know who did this or if Carole Baskin was involved?” the family lawyer, John Phillips, said during the commercial.
