A Georgia woman is out on bail after being arrested for smoking narcotics in the same car as her two-year-old.
23-year-old Courtney Lauren Hannah is was arrested on March 19 after she was caught smoking drugs in a grocery store parking lot, all while her child was in the backseat.
When approached by the police, Hannah threw a foil wrapper out the window and denied being up to any sort of criminal wrongdoing. Upon recovery of the foil wrapper, a half-burnt Oxycodone pill was discovered.
Inspecting the vehicle, evidence of repeated narcotics consumption was found.
According to the Newnan Times-Herald, Hannah’s daughter was turned over to his grandparents before the mother was charged with narcotics possession, reckless conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Transported to the Coweta County Jail, she was released Sunday on a $5,700 bond.
