While bobcats are certainly not the biggest wild cat in North Carolina, they are nothing to take lightly- especially when they have rabies.
One woman learned this the hard way after she was attacked by a rabid bobcat in Pender County, prompting her husband to hunt the cat down with a handgun.
The incident, which took place last week, escalated quickly and was caught on home security cameras.
As the man attempted to get into his car, the snarling of the bobcat can be heard and the woman begins to scream loudly for her husband.
Recognizing the cat, the man immediately devised a course of action.
“I’m gonna shoot that f***er,” he said.
The video was posted to Reddit, where it was stated that the man managed to shoot the bobcat, which later tested positive for rabies.
