The women working at the Hillbilly Hottie Coffee Hut were able to strike a deal with their employer after the city of Everett stepped in and negotiated a $500,000 deal over how much the women can bare.
According to the NY Post, four employees filed a complaint against the 14-year-old establishment saying the bikinis violated city code. The city code states employees must wear a tank top and shorts, at minimum.
The code was established in 2017 to curb sexual exploitation and prostitution after an investigation into the business resulted in four arrests.
That code was deemed unconstitutional in 2022.
Now, workers can wear bikinis but are subject to the city’s lewd-conduct laws.
So these four workers will split the $500,000, be able to wear as skimpy of clothing as they wish, and sales may go up because of it.
