A group of people who are against mask mandates and vaccines decided to occupy a Manhattan Olive Garden in a public attempt to express their frustrations.
According to Fox News, the group was seen claiming that their demonstration was the “Civil Rights Movement again.”
The group was only cleared on a busy Friday night after the NYPD was called in to arrest people for violating the city’s mask mandate and disrupting business.
Video of the protest shows people singing the national anthem and reciting the pledge of allegiance as they were being arrested.
In New York City, people must show proof of vaccination in order to eat indoors.
It’s believed the group occupied the Olive Garden for about two hours. The NYPD has not released any information about the charges those arrested face nor how many people were arrested.
