Turning Point USA’s 2020 Student Action Summit took a real Gen-Y turn, complete with Bang Energy Drink’s “Bang Girls” shooting cash out of rotary air cannon.
The energy drink, which appeals to younger sections of the high school and college crowd, was one of the major sponsors of the TPUSA 2020 SAS.
Bang Energy CEO Jack Owoc was all about it.
“Folks, we are trying to get that thing rolling,” Bang Energy CEO Jack Owoc said as he launched money out of a pneumatic rotary cannon.
Soon enough, yoga pant-wearing women began shooting cash from the cannon, causing young entrepeneurs and anti-socialism activists to cheer as they got some of their admission costs back.
Conservative radio host Todd Starnes, however, was not impressed.
“Oh, wow. I thought that was some sort of Vegas nightclub,” Starnes tweeted on Sunday. “That really happened at a conservative conference for teens?”
Despite criticism, one thing is for certain- Bang Energy Drink might lose some of its left-wing consumers.
