Young elephant rushes into river to save man from drowning

The elephant Kham Lha, one of the younger residents of the Elephant Nature Park, a center of refuge and rescue for elephants located in Mae Taeng district, in Thailand, rushes into a river to save Darrick, a member of the staff at the sanctuary, when it simulates a risk of drowning.

Very quickly, the man was joined by the young pachyderm who hands him his trunk to allow him to stay on the surface.

This action shows the affection that can have an elephant for a human when their relationship is based on love and respect.
